Tea Tree Oil - Essential Oils

Tea Tree Oil, also called Melaleuca, helps to treat skin conditions. It is also one of the best anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-viral, anti-parasitic, and anti-inflammatory aids around. It is an astringent. Tea Tree Oil also helps to open our chest cavities and helps to awaken and enliven us. People have used it to treat acne (5% solution), athlete's foot (10%), and even toenail fungus (up to 100%). Internal consumption is not advised as it is toxic.
I have heard of people putting this in the shower or steam room to open up the sinuses and "clean the air" so to speak. It is also great to add to some Greek yogurt for a face mask. I like blending it with some Lavender Oil as well. I don't do a 50/50 split as the Tea Tree Oil can overpower the Lavender but I will do about a 65/35 blend. I have seen it in some all natural shampoo blends as well. I think I have seen it in some blends that treat dandruff but don't quote me on that. What do you use it for?

Essential Eucalyptus Oil

Many people have smelled Eucalyptus oil when they have been in the steam room at the gym. It is a known decongestant and expectorant. Try hanging a bunch of fresh Eucalyptus in your shower or putting some essential oil on the shower walls so that the steam will help disperse it as you shower and open up your chest and lungs. Eucalyptus is also an anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal, and anti-bacterial. You can add it to steamy water to help you clear your sinuses and chest when suffering from a cold or even some allergies. It is also known for purification and healing. Get some today and give it a try in your shower or even in your bath with our Eucalyptus bath salts! These can be found at my current retailers Chicago Lash Lounge in Roscoe Village and Christopher Thomas Salon in Lakeview.

Geranium - Another Essential Oil Must Have

Geranium oil is another must have essential oil. I use it in my Peace and Calm blend that I am perfecting as we speak. It increases circulation, balances hormones, and assists in relieving cramps (anti-spasmodic). It is also hemostatic which means it helps to stop bleeding. It is anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, and anti-inflammatory. It helps to repair skin cells which makes me want to try this if I have gotten too much sun. I also plan on trying this with a couple small sunspots I have noticed on my face. Geranium relieves negative emotions and balances us. It lifts our spirits and relieves nervous tension. Several people, including myself, sometimes experience anxiety and I can't wait to try this when one of those experiences arises...or perhaps even preventatively.

Essential Lavender Oil

There are so many people that love Lavender and is it any wonder why? Lavender helps revitalize us if we are exhausted and stressed. It helps to calm us down. It has been other benefits as well. Lavender tea or Lavender Lemonade is loved for its floral flavor. It is also a good natural antiseptic, antibacterial, and painkiller. You can use it externally to treat cuts, wounds, insect bites and allergies. It is also a decongestant so it helps to fight colds and flus. Finally it is good on the digestive system and not only assists digestion but helps alleviate nausea and indigestion.

When using the Lavender internally you want to use fresh or dried flowers. The essential oil is usually not advised for internal use unless specifically noted on the bottle. It is also very concentrated so you always want to dilute it with what is known as a carrier oil such as grapeseed, almond, olive, or apricot oil.

There are several oil blends that contain Lavender that are my favorites: Peace and Calming blend as well as the Irritability blend...look for these blends to be produced by Simple Life. Simple Health. and on the shelves of my retailers soon. You can always contact me for some samples or products as well.

Did you know there are several kinds of Lavender? The most commonly used is the Lavender Augustifolia

Also, stay tuned for another live demo that I will post on You Tube and my blog where I showcase another smoothie or fresh juice recipe. I am also planning on showing how I make the bath salts and other body products. So stay tuned Chicago and remember that Simple Life. Simple Health. is here to serve you!

Essential Orange Oil - Citrus Secrets

Happy Sunday Chicago! I am writing because I have learned some things that have WOWed me about essential orange oil. Not only is it brightening and cheering but it has an assortment of other benefits as well.

It helps with nervous tension and insomnia.

It helps with digestive unease, i.e. constipation, abdominal spasms, and diarrhea.

It helps normalize blood pressure and circulation. It also helps the lymphatic system do its job and dispel any water we are retaining.

Last but not least, it helps us prevent and deal with colds especially when  mixed with winter spices such as cinnamon and clove which are warming oils.

I recently made some bath salts with orange oil. They have made my living room smell amazing and I felt so energized by the time I finished with this batch.

I have a whole assortment of bath and body products coming out with essential orange, tangerine, and other citrus blends. It is not only great for summer but will be great in winter too when we need some help to get us out of the house and moving on with our day!

Please look forward to more video uploads of different smoothie recipes and some bath and body recipes as well.

I love you Chicago!!

Enjoy your Sunday and get ready for a great week ahead of us,
Renee

Simple Life. Simple Health says HELLO CHICAGO!

I am taking my natural health business to the streets of Chicago where I can serve the Chicagoans that I have come to love since I moved here three years ago from Michigan. It has been so overwhelming and there are so many things to do but I am trying to stay organized and prioritized. My number one priority is building relationships with other individuals and businesses. I am going to start by offering my fresh raw juices to the people in the Lakeview area and offer a discount on delivery. I have some cleansing packages as well that can't be beat for their effectiveness, price, quality, and most importantly the love and care that is put into them. I am going to branch out from Lakeview to other areas in Chicago and reach out. I hope to get some love and feedback from all of you wonderful people out there. It is summertime, everyone is having fun and partying and could use some help caring for their bodies and keeping themselves healthy.

If you are interested in trying some fresh juices contact me! My website is under construction but you can check me out on Facebook, email me at reneeraville@yahoo.com or reneeraville@simplelifesimplehealth.com or even call or text me at 312-869-0726.

Contact me to show some love and support or ask any questions you have about fresh juice and how awesome it is for your body! I would love to hear from you Chicago and Simple Life. Simple Health. is here for you. We live in a wild and crazy and STRESSFUL city that I love but sometimes we need to cleanse ourselves from that stress. So let's de-stress and drink some juice!
